AMPERSAND BY CULINARY REBELS REVISIT @ DAMANSARA UPTOWN
And since my metro uncle Dave, was in town for a short vacay and asked for something to surprise him when being asked what would he like to eat, then immediately the camp that housed the mind-boggling Cacao Ribs (Varlhona-infused Ribs Glaze which I often love to call it fondly as my ChocRibs ^^) instantly popped up.
So here we go, marching towards the retreat of these culinary rebels of Ampersand for some mouthwatering refuge that certainly gonna be tummy-rewarding (=
To get the night started off, we warmed up the tummy with some fragrant white tea in view that we gonna down most meaty stuff later, hoping it will aid in better digestion, hehe.
GREEN TEA (MYR 10)
OSMANTHUS (MYR 6)
MISO GOCHUJANG RIBS (MYR 26-HALF)
Miso
gochujang marinated pork ribs for 12 hours and served with miso gochujang glaze
and apple chutney. Daebak!!
SAMBAL RIBS (MYR 26- HALF)
Equally
thoroughly marinated for 12 hours, this Indonesian-inspired sambal marinated
pork ribs has been added with some interesting Asian twists- spicy budu sauce
and served with winged bean salad. Surprisingly, now I love this version more
for its alluring pungency albeit bit spicy, hehe.
THOM THOM & CCB WINGS (MYR 16)
A joyful
mixture of toothsomely glazed crispy chicken wings with garlic sauce and drizzled
with garlic chips and pegaga besides the next version of Belacan-coated wings
with shrimp paste, palm sugar and pegaga. My personal fave has always been the
mighty garlicky Thom Thom!
CREAMY KIMCHI (MYR 10.90)
And not forgetting to ask Dave to try my fave pasta of all time,
infused with Korean culture- Kimchi! It’s always that delightfully yummy and
creamy, not overly cloying but done just nice with the right amount of milk and
cumin herbs. Can never have enough of them seriously.
Guess that’s all for now the episode with Ampersand this round as we
gonna fix our craving for some light dessert across the street thereafter. And
so, do visit their page for the latest inquisitive menu updates. And in the
interest of your time, foodies clan, I have just tried their New Weekend Brunch Menu with more
additions in stored for meat lovers especially- pork belly!! So feel free to browse
by my glorious porky dining here.
