NEW PLACES TO CHECK OUT @ RESORTS WORLD GENTING (RWG)

Hi Tea Buffet

To many people of Klang Valley, Genting Highlands has been the nearest neighbourhood getaway to many of us here. Filled with fond memories of those exciting theme park games since childhood- be it indoor or outdoor, enjoying quick bites while surrounding yourself with cold weather- it’s just an innocently fun moment to behold and best enjoyed with buddies alike and your loved ones.

While that’s currently a case of many yesteryears’ nostalgia as RWG is now undergoing mega transformation by scrubbing off the previous open theme park in order to make way for the much more exhilarating adventures- 20th Century Fox Theme Park!

While the construction is still underway and due to open in 2018, patrons of RWG could at least visit and discover Sky Avenue for now, that houses marvelous new openings of abroad big brands’ flagship stores- from France, Naples and United Kingdom to currently in Malaysia’s highest hill resort at Genting Highlands.

Sky Avenue is part of Resorts World Genting’s MYR 10.38-billion lavish investments that will provide world-class, unique entertainment options which includes the world’s first Twentieth Century Fox World theme park, new transport hub that includes a bus terminal and the Awana SkyWay cable car system, besides unprecedented dining concepts and shopping options.

First and foremost, if you are a true-blue fan of crustacean lovers, be prepared to queue a little while especially during the peak hours and weekends, if you are heading to UK’s famous feast of much loved Burger &Lobster!

From UK to Malaysia, by RWG!

Expect to get submerged in lobster paraphernalia where one whole wall of the restaurant is decorated with 104 traditional lobster crates which are replicas of the ones used in Nova Scotia. Old oak and aged vitreous ceramic Portuguese tiles will reference the low-light interiors of taverns where off-duty lobstermen warm themselves. Seating at Burger & Lobster will be a mix of dining banquettes and booths, with a focus on decorative lighting, besides doing what it is best at- dishing out premium 650-700g fresh lobsters from Nova Scotia, Canada, which are delivered weekly to the hilltop via KLIA. Due to the high volumes of the group buys on a weekly basis, they become saleable and very affordable to local folks here.

From New York to Malaysia, by RWG!

This Brooklyn and East Village pizza place has New York Times food writers hailing it as the best authentic Neopolitan Italian pizza restaurant in New York. Owned and operated by Belgian-Italian  born chef Mathieu Palombino who makes Neapolitan-style pizza in wood ovens imported from Italy, Motorino has multiple outlets in New York, two in Hong Kong and Manila, one in Singapore, and when it is unveiled in December, its first restaurant in Malaysia.

Keeping  to  the  original  design  ethic  of  the  American  outlets, seating  will  not  be  plush  or  opulent.  Instead, there will be 1920s metal chairs in burgundy in reference to the fact that Brooklyn was an Irish area during that time, so there will also be shades of green to lend an element of surprise to the burgundy tones. With Sixties-style lighting and Pantone glo-balls, Motorino is set to be a time capsule of an area where the pizza pie reigned supreme.

Shying away from some of the more conventional coffees, Cafés Richard carefully selects beans from around the world to give customers a sense of exploration and discovery.

Top of the list is Perle Noir, or black pearl, an exclusive Cafés Richard 100% Arabica brewed in a French-style espresso iconic of the Parisian Brasseries. Massaya, also served as an espresso, hails from Mexico and is organically cultivated.

Customers  who prefer slow coffee methods such as French press, chemex, syphon or cold drip can choose  from  Ethiopian  Moka Yirgacheffe  cultivated  in the birthplace  of coffee,  Costa  Rica Tarrazu cultivated on volcanic plateaus, Sumatra “Orang Utan” whose proceeds partly go towards helping the endangered orangutans of Indonesia, as well as the rare and premium Jamaican Blue Mountain.
