MRS JONES CAFÉ @ DENMARK

The cool side of Steve:D

Soon after packing up our stuff from the cozy home of Rockcliffe, we made our way towards the town for some hearty breakie at Mrs Jones Café before calling Pemberton as our next destination.

Securing a lush greenery lot by the main road is where this warm little café was located. There were ample space for car park for its patrons with choices either to dine under the vintage wooden roof or the windy al fresco area, complemented with refreshing breeze and soothing trees along.

A quick glance of the place, it was welcomingly pleasant at first sight and I just wish we could stay a little longer. Interior setting was kept minimalist but lovely; with some corner to keep children safely occupied while the adults enjoying their meal.

No wonder this homey Mrs Jones Café was awarded the WA WINNER of Restaurant & Catering Industry Association’s 2016 Awards in 2 categories; CAFÉ OF THE YEAR and CAFÉ RESTAURANT for Excellence in Western Australia., bravo!

It’s Steve’s favourite place who has a penchant for a good cup of tea and I’m pretty sure it won’t go wrong for he’s also an epicurean himself (=

Hence, I just went with Steve’s recommendations on the menu and before I realized, we’re having the same plates, on top of the other varieties, haha.

Shakshuka (AUD 18)
The vegan-friendly dish was piquantly served with eggs, capsicum, onion, spices, fetta, coriander with loads of tomatoes and toast on side.

Eggs Benedict (AUD 18)
Always makes the best breakie on any days.

Here we had luscious strips of fragrantly pan-fried bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and toast on side. The gooey gravy was delightful and complemented the whole nosh tastefully.

Long Black (AUD 4)

English breakfast Tea (AUD 4)

It was a quick but wonderful feast undoubtedly. Just as Mrs Jones tagline goes, “Mrs Jones is fresh, fun and flirtatious. Enjoy her in the morning for coffee, at lunch with girlfriends and at night with your lover- it’s like using your good china every day...........”

Cheers for now and follow us at Carpe Diem for more ‘food-ful’ discoveries! ❤ℒℴѵℯ❤
