FREMANTLE MARKET @ PERTH

After a quick respite at Bread in Common, we dashed over to Fremantle busy streets. Indeed a splendid thoroughfare with plenty of red bricks buildings. How aesthetic it was!
Despite been operating since 1897, the building was still very well maintained, looking spick and span.
BUILDING HISTORY IN A BRIEF
The grand old Victorian building was designed by architects H.J.Eales and Charles Oldham. Sir John Forrest, the Premier of Western Australia, laid the foundation stone on Saturday November 6 1897, with construction finishing in 1898 at a cost of £8268.
This building is one of only two surviving municipal market buildings in Western Australia, and one of the few in Australia that continues to be used for its original purpose.
Various fresh local produce, flowers, bakeries, dairy products, indigenous products, whatnots and many more- all were vibrantly beckoning! Not forgetting unique food offerings that were gracing the beautiful Fremantle Market. The market was simply full to the brim of fresh fruit and vegetables, indirectly rending such an endearing sight to behold.
Despite thousand miles away, we still met here. Suddenly felt the world was unbelievably small! Lol
I noticed that many red bricks-themed buildings were aplenty here. Though the architecture of the design looked tad old and o the vintage side, they were all very well maintained by the local governance, good job!
Definitely a must-visit place whenever you are in town!
The much said Fremantle Castle and its nearby cathedral, pretty!
Guess it’s time to depart to Perth CBD soon to meet the chivalrous Ben host who was a very helpful and amiable person! We better get goin'......
